Best Ever Chocolate Chip Cookies
(Makes 4 dozen cookies)
1½ cups sifted flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
½ cup firmly packed light brown sugar
1 cup granulated sugar
1 large egg
1 tsp vanilla extract
1½ cups old-fasioned rolled oats
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Mix together flour, baking soda & cinnamon.
Beat together butter, brown sugar & granulated sugar
at medium speed until light & fluffy. Beat in egg and
vanilla. At low speed, beat in lour mixture until
blended. Fold in oats & chocolate chips. Cover with
plastic wrap; chill for 1 hour. Preheat oven to 350°.
Grease 2 baking cookie sheets. Shape dough into 1"
balls. Place cookies, 2" apart, on cookie sheets.
Flatten each cookies slightly with fork. Bake cookies
until lightly brown around edges, 10 to 20 min.
