Sour Cream Spice Cake

2 eggs, lightly beaten
1 cup dairy sour cream
1 cup sugar
½ tsp. salt
1 ½ cups sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. ground cloves
½ tsp. ground nutmeg
¼ cup chopped dates
Whipped cream

Heat oven to 350°. In mixing bowl, combine eggs,
sour cream & sugar. In seperate bowl, sift
together flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt &
spices. Thoreughly combine with egg mixture. Stir
in dates. Pour batter into greased & floured 8"
square pan. Bake uncovered for 30 min. or until
tester in serted in center comes out clean. Cool
on wire rack for 10 min., then remove cake from
pan & cool completely. Serve with whipped
cream.
